Prevent a Heart Attack

Medication

Diet and exercise are usually the fist line of attack used to lower cholesterol levels, but if this does not prove effective medication may be introduced. Most cholesterol-lowering drugs act by preventing the body from manufacturing cholesterol, reducing the absorption of dietary cholesterol, or combining with cholesterol and removing it from the bloodstream.
